White Month
(editorial project, 2024)

The New Year's Eve fireworks barely have time to hit the ground before a crisis team is assembled and a state of emergency declared in Southern Norway. A couple of weeks later, Ekebergsletta in Oslo has turned into something reminiscent of the mountain plateau Hardangervidda.

Who is to blame? The snow.

Now, it is pouring down in Oslo. Making headlines, halting buses, and breaking bones. It is capricious and unpredictable.

"Heavenly correction fluid", the Norwegian artist Anne Grete Preus sang.

Well, this is something else. It is more like a whole bucket of paint.

But what is snow, really?
